Goal Setup/Takedown Volunteer Information

Volunteer info

Thursday (9/27), 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, 6 Volunteers -  Help load goals at the  Parkland college and then unload them at the UofI fields.  Meet at the Parkland soccer field at 11:00 am, there is a parking lot right by the Dodds Complex field (see picture below). We will load the goals on a trailer and take them to the UofI fields.  The goals get unloaded at the south entrance to the UofI fields (see picture below).  You can park at the Vet Med however, some of the spots are metered and they do give out tickets. You might want to bring work gloves for carrying goals.  Contact Jay Anderson with any questions, jaytanderson@gmail.com.

 

Friday (9/28), 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, 20-25 Volunteers-  Help assemble goals, put nets on, carry goals to fields and stake down the goals.  Meet at the south entrance to the UofI fields at 9:00 am (see picture below).  Please be there on time, there are some instructions involved and it will go smoother if we are all pointed in the right direction from the beginning. You can park at the Vet Med however some of the spots are metered and they do give out tickets.  You might want to bring work gloves for carrying goals.  If you have a heavy mallet for staking down goals that would be helpful. Contact Jay Anderson with any questions, jaytanderson@gmail.com.

 

 

Sunday (9/30), 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, 8 Volunteers - Help take down goals at UofI fields.  Meet at the south entrance to the UofI fields at 5:00 pm (see picture below).  You can park at the Vet Med, however, some of the spots are metered and they do give out tickets.  You might want to bring work gloves for carrying goals and wire cutters for removing zip ties.  Contact Jay Anderson with any questions, jaytanderson@gmail.com.

 

Monday (9/31), 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, 6 Volunteers - Help load goals at the UofI fields and then unload them at Parkland College.
