Illinois Futbol Club, a youth soccer club in Champaign IL, is seeking an outstanding individual to join our staff as Assistant Director of Coaching. We are looking for a coach who values player development and creating a positive training environment. This is a full-time salaried position with opportunities for additional compensation through coaching teams and programs. The position will report to the Director of Coaching and includes some weeknight and weekend hours during the soccer seasons.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Organize and oversee youth and supplemental programs (i.e., Micro Soccer/Juniors/Camps).
• Assist and supervise training of teams and monitor progress with DOC each season.
• Work with DOC to support and evaluate coaches at games and training sessions.
• Assist in developing and evaluating club curriculum specific to age group and level of play.
• Assist DOC with coach education/development program.
• Mentor staff coaches throughout the season (weekly calls, field sessions, staff meetings, etc.).
• Expand and oversee college recruitment program.
• Perform day-to-day duties of answering phone calls, emails, voicemails, etc.
• Actively pursue professional development through conferences, clinics, licensing, etc.
• Actively assist Illinois FC in promoting the mission of the club throughout the region.
• Coach 1-2 teams per season and additional programs as assigned (additional compensation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of a USSF ‘C’ License or NSCAA Equivalent.
• Significant coaching experience at the club/college level, preferably in a leadership position.
• High level of playing experience (college or professional preferred).
• Demonstrated organizational, managerial, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Compensation: Competitive salary, dependent upon experience.
