We were very excited to see so many boys try out for the IFC high school teams. Because of the large numbers of quality players we are able to form 4 teams. We need you to accept or decline your place on your team as soon as possible.
Illinois FC joins the nation in mourning the death of George Floyd and the long line of other Black Americans who have lost their lives needlessly. Our country needs to commit to meaningful change, and IFC reaffirms its commitment to being a positive force in the community.
At the core of Illinois FC is the belief that youth soccer provides great benefits to our children. Sports brings people together and helps young athletes learn the value of teamwork and overcoming obstacles. It is not enough, though, to just be open to diversity. We must assess and evaluate our own institution and hold ourselves to the highest standard. We know how much the parents at this club sacrifice in time and money to help their children grow and benefit from the experiences that organized soccer can offer, but we also recognize that it is a privilege to be able to do this for our children. As we recover as a club from a lost spring season let us move into the future not only with a goal of returning to a state of normalcy but with the goal of improving our definition of normal so that our community thrives and the privilege of being part of this organization is available to all.
