Illinois FC Service Award

Illinois Futbol Club is proud to announce the creation of the Illinois FC Service Award.  Created in 2012 in conjunction with the club's 30th Anniversary, this award is given to club members for their outstanding contributions and service. 

Below is the nomination form for the Illinois FC Service Award.  Completed nominations should be returned by June 14th, 2019 to the Illinois FC main office, either as an email attachment to doc@illinoisfc.com or by postal mail to Illinois FC, 2310 N. Willow Rd., Urbana, IL  61802.  The award recipient(s) will be determined by 6/30/19 and will be honored at the 2019-2020 Illinois FC Season Kick-Off Celebration in August 2019.


Service Award Recipients

JOHN MOORE- 2018
For his tireless efforts on behalf of the Club in pursuing facilities improvements culminating in the Dodds Park Lighting Project of 2018 and for years of dedicated service as an Illinois FC parent, coach, and board member.

LANCE COOPER- 2017
For his role as a transformational Club President who expanded and enhanced the volunteer model in the club, and his role in the community as a widely respected soccer player, parent, and booster.


MIKE WILSON- 2016
For his tremendous leadership and service the past decade, turning the Illinois FC Fall Cup and Spring Invite into two of the premier youth soccer tournaments in the Midwest.


ROBERT BAIRD & CATHY BAIRD- 2015
Robert- For his innovative contributions and dedication to the development of young soccer players in East Central Illinois.
Cathy- For her essential contributions to the financial health of LISC/IFC while serving as club treasurer for many years.


MIKE WINGO- 2014
For his dedication to improving the level of soccer within the community and for unselfishly giving his time, talent, and resources in order to develop and support the growth and development of youth soccer in the area.

For his important contributions to fostering the Little Illini/Illinois Futbol Club and to developing soccer players and coaches at all levels in the Champaign-Urbana area.

JOE SEELEY- 2012
For making the world a better place through his devoted coaching of young athletes and generous service to the club.  His dedication, warmth and patience have inspired an entire generation of players.
