The club has decided to invest in an app called Techne Futbol. We consider that this training tool will be a consistent, methodical and easy-to-use application that will motivate our players to be disciplined with their soccer training schedule.
Techne Futbol was founded by Yael Averbuch, a professional women’s player and executive director of the NWSL players association. The training app has an extensive amount of training tools and information that we are excited to start implementing with our teams. It will take some coordination with coaches and teams to get things set up and make sure everyone understands how the app works. Your coaches will help connect you to the Techne Futbol app.
As you get familiar with the app you will notice all the cool features it has. Techne posts a weekly session on their app, "This Week's Session", and players should train with this everyday. If they are motivated to improve, the app also offers strength workouts, mental training, living room training, GK and shooting sessions!
We will be posting on our website and social media a leaderboard of our top performers in training. The coaches and interim DOC Luis Ramirez are available every day if anybody has a question about how to take advantage of all these features or if you are not sure whether the exercises have been executed correctly.
As part of our new Techne train-at-home program, we're posting regular updates to leader boards for boys and girls, highlighting the players who put the most time in with the new app. Check back every week!
