Teams for session one of the winter indoor leagues have been finalized.  All players who responded have been organized into teams based on age group.  Here are some important details regarding session one.  Team assignments can be found in your mySAM account or at the end of this article.

• Registration-Illinois FC will register players for the league.  Players who have never registered with Soccer Planet before will receive an email notification from Soccer Planet once their mySAM account is created.
• Payment-Regular Illinois FC players have one session of indoor leagues included in their Illinois FC fees, so players do not need to pay the $75 league fee for their first session (practice players will be required to pay the league fee).  In addition, all players will need to pay the $20 annual membership fee to Soccer Planet.  Payment should be made directly to Soccer Planet (either in person or via phone/online) before your first game.
• Game Schedule-Soccer Planet is in the process of finalizing the schedule for session one. The game schedule for the first week of games will be posted soon in the mySAM system (https://secure.sports-it.com/mysam/?cid=soccerplanet).  After the first week of games, the schedule for the remainder of session one will be published online.  As a reminder, there are no practices for indoor leagues.
• Attendance-Players will receive an email reminder from Soccer Planet two days prior to each game.  Players are asked to RSVP in the mySAM system to indicate whether or not they will be able to attend the game.  This will allow guest players to be arranged as needed to ensure teams have enough players to play.
• Coaches-An Illinois FC coach will coach the team for each indoor game.  This coach may rotate throughout the season, so players will get the opportunity to experience different coaches and coaching styles throughout the season.
• Game Day Details-Players should always bring both jerseys to every game, and arrive at least 15 minutes early to meet as a team, warm up and get organized.  Players (and siblings) should NOT bring a soccer ball, as Soccer Planet is requesting players do not play with soccer balls outside of the field area.  Illinois FC will provide soccer balls to use to warm up on the field in between games.
